Open Forum 2
Campus faculty, students, and staff are invited to attend the second open forum on the Long Range Development Plan (LRDP), led by VC Gerry Bomotti. This is a repeat of the information provided at the Campus Open Forum 1 on May 20, 2019, and is being offered in order to provide ample opportunity for the campus community to engage in the LRDP process. As a reminder, the LRDP looks broadly at campus growth options and associated environmental impacts, as required by the State of California. It is related to, but different from the recently launched Strategic Plan Update. The current LRDP in use by the campus was created in 2005 and last updated in 2010, and bases its land use assumptions on a projected maximum population of 25,000 students. At 24,000 students in Fall 2018, UCR is quickly approaching this important enrollment milestone. Consequently, the campus is now working toward updating the plan to reflect UC Riverside’s vision on the physical development necessary to support continued future growth. Please join us to hear an update on the LRDP effort to date, ask questions and engage with the LRDP team on this significant campus effort!
Tuesday, June 4, 2019; 12pm - 1pm HUB 302. Light refreshments will be served; Room capacity limited to 120
